New Westbury Heritage Website.

Welcome to the new Westbury Heritage website. If you are interested in our town, are fascinated by its buildings and history, or just want to know how people used to shop, you’ve come to the right place.
Here you can browse the large collection of photographs that form part of the Heritage Society’s extensive collection. You can trace the history of the town, find out about archaeology and read first hand experiences of long term town residents.

The Heritage Society moved its collection to the town library in August 2020 with the intention of opening a revamped and attractive display area on the first floor of the historic building. Sadly, coronavirus had other plans and we are waiting anxiously for the time when we can share our collection with you. Watch this space!
In the meantime we are updating the website and our Facebook pages, and have regular features in the local newspapers. We are always on the lookout for new members and, when we reopen, for volunteers too. Drop us an email if you are interested – and here’s looking forward to getting Westbury heritage back on the road!
